It is a best practice to contact Epos-France as soon as possible may you need to distribute the data.
In particular, if you need to distribute the dataset due to the funder’s requirements.
Concerned datasets
Any seismological data acquire for academical can enter Epos-France.
Technical prerequisite
- data in minisee int32 STEIM2
- metadata in stationXML
- maximum frequency 250Hz
- total dataset size should not exceed 5TB
- the DOI must not exist yet, it will be managed by Epos-France
- the FDSN network code must be attributed
- data is distributed under the terms of the CC-BY 4.0 licence, without embargo
Exceptions management
If the data producer would like to pass above the prerequisites, the request should explain why they are not suitable.
The steering committee will evaluate the request accordingly.
Submission process
A request involves an A node which will give a first technical evaluation and approval, define all the workflow and responsibilities, collect the required information for citing the dataset.
Then, the steering Committee evaluates the request. If approved, the data set will be transfered to the data center by the A node.
